Cali Trip

It was a nice trip. It was soooo needed. Adam has been stressed at work, Hannah has been driving me nuts. We just needed to get AWAY! So here's the day by day.

Feb 28- We get up around 8 and Adam can't wait to get out of CG so we go get the rental so we can leave ASAP for San Diego. Its a Elentra. Adam fell in love w/this car. He wants to get one when we pay of the POS.. I mean LHS. Hannah did ok. She cried b/c the movies we put on the media player didn't have that great of sound so she couldn't hear them over the radio. This car had XM/Sirus radio. All we listened to were the 80s and 90s! I loved it! We stopped in Yuma for a quick lunch and to go to Wal-Mart. On the way I forgot that I didn't pack Adam's flip flops, Hannah's shovel and pail and I couldn't find my sunglasses for the life of me. So got all that stuff and headed out. Also outside of SD was SNOW! We were totally shocked by this! But Hannah wanted to stop to play in it! Go figure

We got to the King's Inn and just relaxed. They had a Waffle place and Mexican place on site so we decided to go have dinner. IT WAS SO GOOD! My margarita was yummy!

After that we went swimming in the "heated" pool. Yikes! It was soooo cold! So we just chilled in the hot tub. That's all Adam wanted. He was in heaven. Then back to the room. Hannah was all hyper and didn't want to sleep. But finally we all passed out.



March 1st- We get up and eat at this Waffle Place. It says it was voted to have the best waffles in San Diego.

Eww. It was so nasty. The bacon had a spicy flavor to it. (We all got sick later from it) It was gross and we were bummed. We pack up and head out to see the Seals. (Thanks Danielle for the suggestion) It was pretty cool. They all were just chilling on the beach. Got a video of some. Lots of babies. They were sooo cute. Hannah thought it was pretty awesome.

Then it was on to Anaheim. We planned to check in then meet up w/my friend Becca! I haven't seen her since she moved out there. I was excited to see her. That drive was awesome. Got to have the ocean breeze. (Oh we had a sun roof. It was kick ass) We saw the Navy boats and the Marine Camp. They were actually doing war games. Saw some tanks and stuff. We get to the hotel and bring everything up. We txt Becca that we're going to lunch and she says she hasn't eaten yet and would like to join us. No prob! We meet at Bucca de Bippo (Adam and I had our first date there in Tempe)  Then we all went to the beach. Oh how I miss it! Becca was awesome and took pictures for us. There was something kinda creepy though. All these baby clams were on the beach. The tide brought them in and when it went out, they were left on the beach. They were all alive and that this root things out.. Becca told us that's how they eat. And if you got close enough to them, they made like a popping sound. Creepy!

After that we went back to the hotel, chilled and vegged out. Becca taught me how to knit and it was quite amusing. She's a thrower, and more than likely I'll be a picker since I crochet as well. So she was trying to show me how to do it my way... and she was getting all messed up. It was funny.

March 2- FIRST DAY OF DISNEY!!! Hannah was so excited! We were able to do all the rides w/hardly any lines. I ate my tradtional Hot Dog and coke meal. They're just so good at Disney! And at the end of the day we went to Down Town Disney to get JAMBA JUICE and Wetzel's Pretzels! Yummy!

March 3rd- Another Disney day. Mostly the same thing. Saw some character's we haven't seen before so that was nice for Hannah. I would load more pictures, but the blod thing is being funny.

March 4th- PICK UP MY DAD! He flew down from SF to be w/us for 2 days. We decided to do Hollywood. Never again. It was creepy. People pulling at you to take pictures and such. Yuck. But the wax museum was cool. (Didn't do the famous one b/c we forgot what it was called and got tricked) But the stars were awesome. Got pictures of all the ones we wanted.  There was a Disney ice cream shop and we stopped there to have a treat.

Then it was mostly eating and relaxing the rest of the day.

March 5 DISNEY one last time. It was horrible. It was so busy. Never again. But my dad was a trooper and did it.

March 6th Going home. Dad's plane left around 11 so he got a shuttle to go. He said it would be too hard to say goodbye to Hannah. I was going to get my nails done before we went, but Becca couldn't find the brush she needed to do my nails. No worries. We just decided to head out. We wanted to get out of town before we ate. So just before we get to the 10 we see this outlet mall. It had a Bob's Big Boy! Adam and I were so excited. I hadn't eaten at one since I lived in Cali in the early 90's. Adam last time was longer ago than that! So we go to eat. It was just as good as we remember!

We went to Target to go to the bathroom and Adam said he needed to get something. I was like ok.... He wanted to know where the candy was. So we walk around and find it. He was like do you see jelly bean dispensers... we did and we walk down. They had Dr. Pepper Jelly Bellys. I was so giddy. Adam said it was my treat for the trip. He bought me just shy of 3 lbs! OMG! Best 20 bucks ever! I am proud to say that there is STILL half a bag left!

So over all it was a good trip. It had some down moments but overall good. I'm glad Dad got to see Hannah. I know that was who he really wanted to see. Sometimes I get hurt feelings that he doesn't try to connect w/me. But its hard. He has boys and can't really relate to me. But my feelings still get hurt. Adam was trying to tell him stuff about me and he would just kinda blow it off. But he would focus on Hannah and spoil her. I didn't want anything from him. Just some attention. Oh well. At least he likes Adam and loves Hannah. Sometimes on the trip I would get jealous of Adam b/c Dad would just talk his ear off, but if I chimed in... the convo would fade and then he would start up something new. Adam saw the pain in my eyes and felt bad. But what can you do? I'm a girl. Totally different to what he's use to. I get it. But sometimes I just dont want to and I feel bad.
