I got a car today and we went to Wal-Mart to see the Halloween deals. Well they had TONS of costumes left so I thought I'd take a gander! Well orginally Adam wanted Hannah to be Super Girl. But the costume we found was $30. Thats a little much. Hannah ended up picking Ariel! (I even got her the wig!) So that was that. Lo and behold I find a Super Girl costume in Hannah's size! Its only $9.50. I snag it. She LOVES it. We picked her Dad up and she had to wear it! She makes the cutest Super Girl!

Family fun
Fry's did a family event where you could bring your kids in and have them trick-or-treat around the store. So Hannah and I got all dressed up and headed down there. Adam works @ US Bank (which is located in the Fry's Market Place) and he was able to wear his costume too! So we had fun walking around and getting some candy! Hannah LOVED that she got to wear her costume and wig!

My costume
Well, I didn't really have a costume this year. Its kinda sad b/c Adam and Hannah got great costumes. ( You will see in later posts) So we went shopping for me. Oye Vey! If I'm not toothpick skinny or want to look like a total slut, there wasn't a costume for me. I was really sad. But I did a fun costume back in college and it was cheap and easy. 80's. So we got me a big black shirt, and Adam bought me a pink and black wig to spice it up. It wasn't that bad. Here are some pix of me playing w/make-up.
Thats the fun part about 80's! You can't really screw up your make-up. You can totally go wild!! I had some real fun with that! But I'm glad I didn't have to do this everyday! It took me about 20mins to do all my make-up and just as long to get it all off! My hot pink (thanks to Becca for buying it for me for her wedding last year) STAINS my skin! Yes! Even with using make-up wipes and cleaning my face, I had a slight pink tint to my face. Oh well. I don't go out much anyways!

Pumpkins!
I love carving pumpkins! This year I got some stencils w/our pumpkin kits. I was excited to use them. But I wanted some COOL ones! So I went online and got me a Jack Skellington one, Adam a Vader one and Hannah Tinkerbell. Well Hannah's stencil was too big for her pumpkin, (and since I don't know how to alter Adobe files) we had to pick something else. She loved the pirate in the stencils we had so that worked out.
As we are carving.... Adam's having kinda a hard time. His vader is VERY detailed. I actually finished mine AND Hannah's and he wasn't even half way done! He tells me he thinks he screwed up. He had. He carved some parts that were suppose to stay. So we lost his pumpkin. He was bummed and so was I. Next year he will have to do a SIMPLE one! So here is our pumpkins!
I love my tablecloth! Adam got it for me!! I have a candy bowl, cups and a frame to match!

Pumpkins!
It was Hannah's first time carving pumpkins. Here we are making the first cut into the pumpkin! She thought it was so cool!
Ewww! Look at all those guts!
Hannah pulling the guts out. She thought it was slimey! But she liked getting all in her hands!
Finished! It was inspired by her jammies! Her jammies have skull and cross bones that have heart eyes, and little heart lips, and a princess crown on them! I thought it was a cute idea!
Hannah and Dadders!
Hannah and Mommy!
I told Hannah to try some pumpkin thinking she would say it was yucky... nope! She liked it! It was delicioso!
Finished! Adam thinks his pumpkin is like a red neck pumpkin! He was talking all redneck like and was making me laugh my ass off. I think they came out great!
